It was a busy week for the Orlando Magic. A potentially franchise-changing one. Well, an actual franchise-changing one. The team named a new president of basketball operations, someone who will literally make decisions that set the next five years of the franchise (at least).
Jeff Weltman is not the most well-known name among the candidates the Magic were reportedly talking to for the position. Then again, his name was always there. He was among the early candidates suggested for the job.
It was never inevitable, but looking at Weltman’s resume makes it hard to believe he is not good for this job.
