During his time as the Orlando Magic's general manager, Otis Smith always watched basketball games at Amway Center from the same location. Clad in a suit and tie, his arms often crossed, he stood in the arena tunnel diagonally opposite the Orlando Magic bench.
His spot on Saturday and Sunday, along with his role, couldn't have been more different.
Now the coach of the Detroit Pistons' NBA Development League team, Smith sat on the Pistons' bench as an assistant coach during their first two Orlando Pro Summer League games. On Sunday, he wore a red Polo shirt, shorts and greenish-blue sneakers.
