COLUMBUS, Ohio — Columbus Crew SC announced Tuesday that it has partnered with Columbus-based OhioHealth in a partnership that will see the club’s future training facility become known as the OhioHealth Performance Center.
The facility is set to open in June 2021, around the same time as the new downtown stadium.
The facility will be located on the current grounds of MAPFRE Stadium. Construction will begin in June 2020 and continue throughout the season.
“We are proud to announce the continued partnership and now the historic naming rights to the OhioHealth Performance Center as both the Club and OhioHealth look to take Columbus Crew SC to new heights,” Crew SC Executive Vice President Steve Lyons said in a statement.
