Oregon State running back Ryan Nall was one of the three recipients of the Play it Forward Award for December, the Oregon Sports Awards announced Thursday.
The honor, which is sponsored by Nike and Providence Health & Services, goes to individuals and organizations that help motivate kids to be physically active.
Nall works with the Boys and Girls Club of Corvallis as part of his community service projects with OSU.
"I enjoy watching people smile when they see athletes work with them," Nall said in a release. "I love to interact with people, particularly kids, as it allows me to take a step back from my life and see what it's like for other people.
