A rainy day in Corvallis turned into a beautiful night at Goss Stadium as the Beavers secured Pat Casey’s 800th win in orange and black with a 2-0 shutout of Ball State.
Bryce Fehmel made his argument to get back into the 3 man rotation after getting bumped in favor of Jake Thompson last weekend. The sophomore improved to 2-1 on the season, going 8 scoreless inning while only allowing 2 Cardinals to reach base (1 hit and 1 walk). Senior closer Max Englebrekt shut the door on any hope for a late Ball State comeback with a perfect 9th inning to notch his 4th save of the year.
