Oregon State athletic director Scott Barnes joined me on the Bald Faced Truth radio show (12-3 p.m. weekdays on 102.9-FM and 750-AM), where he said that the Beavers pro-Portland push is an important part of their strategy.
The NCAA announced on Tuesday that the Moda Center will host the west regional of the 2019 and 2020 women's NCAA basketball tournaments and a sub-regional of the 2022 men's NCAA basketball tournament.
"In one respect, it's an absolute chance for us to thank our fans who travel down to Corvallis," Barnes said. "Also, it gives us a chance to cast a wider next to folks who are alums who we haven't had a chance to engage.
