Notre Dame’s Marina Mabrey hit a three pointer with 3:23 left to break a 77-77 tie and spark a 10-0 run to dash Oregon State’s upset bid. Oregon State led for most of the game after a blistering first quarter where they scored 29 points on nearly 71% shooting. At one point the lead was 14 in the second quarter, and ultimately the Beavers went into halftime with a nine point lead.
The Irish would not go down easily and chipped away at the Beavers’ lead throughout the third and eventually taking the lead in the fourth. It was back and forth until the aforementioned Mabrey three.
