CORVALLIS — It did not take long for Kalani Sitake to get his first taste of the Civil War. When he first got off the airplane after being hired as Oregon State's new defensive coordinator, he got recognized by Oregon fans at the Eugene airport.
"They knew exactly who I was," Sitake recalled earlier this week. "It was just the reminder that Oregon State and Oregon are rivals, and it's a lot of fun. Even the name itself tells you that. I know it's a big deal and it's one of the biggest rivalries in college football.
