The state of Oregon has been largely devoid elite high school basketball prospects in recent years.
But the class of 2018 bucked that trend with 247Sports four-star power forward Kamaka Hepa, a 6-foot-9, 210-pound stretch-four with offers from Arizona, Gonzaga, Miami (Fla.), Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oregon State, Utah, Washington and others.
On Tuesday, Hepa came off the board, announcing his commitment to Texas via a report from Rivals national basketball analyst Corey Evans on social media:
