CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State catcher Adley Rutschman and pitchers Kevin Abel, Bryce Fehmel, Jake Mulholland and Brandon Eisert have all been named preseason All-Americans by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA), as announced on Tuesday. Rutschman, Abel, Fehmel and Mulholland were named to the first team while Eisert was named to the third team.
Rutschman, a junior in 2019, earned preseason honors after batting .408 with a school-record 102 hits and 83 runs batted in last season. He hit nine home runs, tallied 22 doubles and walked 53 times.
