During the portion of practice available to media, Jake Luton took first team reps for 11-on-11s. Conor Blount (sporting a bleach blonde head of hair) took second team reps before Marcus McMaryion alternated in with the first group to conclude the practice.
Darell Garretson did not participate in 11-on-11s, although a team spokesman said he practiced earlier in the day. McGiven said the layoff was to allow Garretson to rest the ankle he broke in October.
“We want to make sure we take it easy on Darell a little bit coming off that leg injury,” McGiven said.
