247Sports three-star wide receiver Alex Cook, out of Sheldon High School (Sacramento, California), has a rating that doesn't quite match his profile.
The 6-foot-2, 170-pound pass-catcher already holds offers from Arizona, Hawaii, Nevada, Oregon, Oregon State, Utah, Washington and others, but is not ranked among the top-100 receivers nationally by composite rankings.
It's early, and a lot can (and will) change by signing day, but Cook isn't leaving his rising status up to chance.
"The star system is a motivation for me to show out among those four and five stars," he said.
