5. Feb. 27: 13-8 win over Saint Mary’s AND 13-0 win over UC Santa Barbara
Halfway through the nonconference season, the Beavers had not one but two of their best games of the year on the same day. OSU notched 13 runs in each game, using big performances from senior third baseman CJ Chirichigno (3-for-3 with two home runs and a double in the first game) and senior centerfielder Dani Gilmore (4-for-4 with six runs batted in and three runs scored in the second game). Not to be outdone, junior pitcher Bev Miller tossed a no-hitter against UCSB, aided by the five-run mercy rule that OSU’s offense incited.
