Osich Makes MLB Debut

WASHINGTON D.C. – Josh Osich made his Major League Baseball debut on Friday night, tossing a scoreless eighth inning for the San Francisco Giants at Nationals Park. Osich became the 30th former Oregon State player to appear at the Major League level.

Osich entered in the eighth inning against the Nationals, relieving Hunter Strickland. He walked Denard Span, then struck out Danny Espinosa. Osich then walked Yunel Escobar before getting Bryce Harper and Clint Robertson on consecutive flyouts.

The left-hander was caught by Andrew Susac, making it the first time school history that two Beavers formed a battery at the big league level.
