PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. – Oregon got steady play from its three veterans on the way to shooting 3 over to sit in ninth place following round one of the Saint Mary's Invitational at Poppy Hills Golf Club. Tom Gueant fired the low round of the day for the Ducks with a 1-under 70 to put him in a tie for 21st.
How it Happened: Gueant bogeyed the par-3 second hole and was 1 over through six, but caught fire with three straight birdies to get to 2 under at the turn.
