While the Oregon track and field team was winning both the men’s and women’s team titles at the NCAA Indoor Championships this weekend, a number of former Ducks were competing at the USA Championship in Portland.
Matthew Centrowitz won the men’s 1,500, holding off a late charge from Robby Andrews and crossing the finish line in 3:44.33, winning by seven hundredths of a second. Centrowitz was joined by Johhny Gregorek and Colby Alexander who finished fifth and sixth.
NCAA Champion Laura Roesler also qualified for a spot at this weekend’s IAAF Word Championships with a second-place finish in the women’s 800.
