This season didn’t pan out exactly as the Cougars wanted but they did find a player to build around for the next couple of years in CJ Elleby (15.4 PPG, 6.9 RPG, 3.0 APG). The first-year forward has shown clips of greatness and should be highly considered for Freshman of the Year alongside Louis King. He does turnover the ball at a high rate (2.8 TOPG) but with more minutes under his belt coming next season, Elleby can improve on caring for the rock.
