Season Ends in WNIT Semifinals

VERMILLION, S.D. - After winning four straight games without star forward Jillian Alleyne to reach the semifinals of the WNIT, the Oregon women's basketball team ran into a hot-shooting South Dakota squad and lost, 88-54, in front of 5,080 on Wednesday night at the DakotaDome.

South Dakota shot 71.4 percent (15-of-21) from three-point range while the Ducks, who entered the game as the nation's No. 1 three-point shooting team, went 5-of-14 from long range.

Oregon finishes the season with a record of 24-11, just one victory shy of the program's single-season record.

HOW IT HAPPENED: Oregon started cold in the first quarter and trailed South Dakota, 19-9, going into the second.
