The third-ranked Oregon Ducks women's basketball team opened the Saint Mary's tournament by crushing UC Riverside 94-44 on Friday in Moraga, California.
Ruthy Hebard led Oregon with 19 points on 8-of-9 shooting, and Satou Sabally added 17 points on 7-of-9 shooting.
Sabrina Ionescu had a solid game with 16 points, seven rebounds and six assists. But the junior finished short of breaking the NCAA career triple-doubles record. Ionescu remains with 12 career triple-doubles and will break the mark with her next triple-double performance.
The Ducks built a 52-18 halftime lead and shot 61 percent from the field for the game and 46.
