EUGENE, Ore. – The men's tennis program has earned All-ITA Academic Team recognition, while three Ducks, Daan Maasland, Brent Chin and Armando Soemarno have each earned ITA All-Scholar Athlete honors, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced on Thursday.
Oregon put together a season to remember in 2016, picking up its first-ever NCAA tournament win and achieving a new high ranking (No. 20) in the ITA polls, while also thriving in the classroom. The Ducks' commitment to academic excellence landed them on the All-ITA Academic Team for the fourth consecutive season.
Leading the way both on the court and in the classroom was Maasland, who earned his fourth straight ITA All-Scholar Athlete selection.
