EUGENE, Ore. — Earlier this week, Oregon catcher Janelle Lindvall considered how the home run still factored into the Ducks’ game plan, given their emphasis this postseason on manufacturing more runs.

Lindvall, who entered Saturday’s NCAA Super Regional against UCLA tied for the UO career lead with 46 home runs, went 4-for-9 with two doubles in the regional round last week. She had a sacrifice fly and another sacrifice hit as the Ducks hit just one home run in 81 combined at-bats, after mashing a school-record 92 in the regular season.
