Former Oregon Football Coach Mark Helfrich Lands With Chicago Bears

Mark Helfrich is a smart guy. He has bided his time after he was fired following a 4-8 season a year ago. On Thursday, it was announced that Helfrich will join the Chicago Bears Coaching Staff as Offensive Coordinator. Helfrich thrived as Offensive Coordinator at Oregon under Head Coach Chip Kelly helping lead the team to three successful seasons and a National Championship.

Chicago Head Coach Matt Nagy will likely run a similar Offense in Chicago as he had in Kansas City this season. Helfrich is the perfect Coach and could make things more interesting for Quarterback Mitchell Trubisky who has a similar skill set to former Oregon Quarterback Marcus Mariota.
