Former Ducks, USF player says Willie Taggart will bring 'swag' and energy to UO program

EUGENE -- When Willie Taggart left the private jet Wednesday night and made his way to the waiting SUV of the athletic director in near-freezing temperatures, the newly minted Oregon Ducks head coach braved the chill in an Oregon-branded down coat.

On a day in which Taggart's "fit" in Eugene was a hot topic in the state and college football at large, the 40-year-old looked right at home wearing the gear of Oregon -- even if he and everyone else in college football were still getting used to the idea.

"A little surprised, at first," said Eric Dungy, "but not surprised when the decision was made.
