Oregon's practice Tuesday was its first since an extended meeting by the players following Monday's workout, intended to right the team's course following consecutive defeats.
The Ducks gathered as a group on the defensive practice field late Monday morning, and several veterans stood up to address their kneeling teammates. The general message throughout pertained to putting in a better effort, in order to get Oregon back to its winning ways beginning Saturday at Washington State (6:30 p.m., Pac-12 Network).
"We just want guys to play harder, to give it all they got – particularly on special teams," said senior receiver Dwayne Stanford, who offered brief, animated remarks to the team in its locker room following last week's loss to Colorado.
