TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Hsin-Yu (Cynthia) Lu and Ching-Tzu Chen led the Oregon women's golf team to a solid start at the Florida State Match Up on Friday at Seminole Legacy Golf Club.
The No. 3 Ducks fired a 2-over 290 in the opening round of the three-day tournament, putting them in third place overall and just two strokes back of Virginia Tech and host Florida State. Lu led the way with a terrific 4-under 68, and Chen came in with a 1-under 71.
"Overall, it was a pretty good first day for the Ducks," head coach Derek Radley said.
