EUGENE, Ore. – The Oregon track and field team recorded six event wins on the second day of the Oregon Relays, Friday, as both past and present Oregon athletes put on a show for the Hayward faithful.
Past, present and future Ducks loaded the men’s 1,500 with 2014 graduate Mac Fleet crossing the finish line first in 3:40.52. Right behind him, running unattached, was Oregon freshman Blake Haney who crossed in 3:42.34, a personal best by more than two seconds.
Fellow freshman Niki Franzmair finished third in 3:42.48, the sixth fastest time in the NCAA this year.
