SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – Jayson Amos and Armando Soemarno won the flight A doubles championship to power the Ducks on the final day of the UCSB Classic.
HOW IT HAPPENED: In the opening match of the day, the newly formed team of Jayson Amos and Armando Soemarno showed seasoned-chemistry as they won the Flight A doubles championship over LMU’s Errol Smith/Luke Bohuslav, 8-4. It’s the first top-flight victory for Soemarno, a freshman who joined the Ducks after a prolific junior doubles career.
Also competing in Flight A for doubles was Daan Maasland and Simon Stevens.
