Jubilation reigned at Howe Field when the Oregon softball team clinched its Super Regional.
Players and staff shared big bear hugs, and took photos in front of a scoreboard that reflected the Ducks' win, earning them a spot in the Women's College World Series. Oregon coach Mike White was doused with the contents of an ice bucket; ace pitcher Cheridan Hawkins got the same treatment, while being interviewed by a television crew.
On and on went the celebration.
That was the scene 12 months ago, when the Ducks won their Super Regional after failing to do so a year earlier.
