Record Number Going to West Prelim

EUGENE, Ore. - The Oregon track and field team will send an NCAA record 75 entries to NCAA competition, beginning with the NCAA West Preliminary Rounds next week in Austin, Texas.

The Ducks will have 42 entries on the men’s side, surpassing Arkansas’ 38 in 2012 for the most in regionals history, while the women will enter 33.

The UO men are represented in 20 events with a team high of seven entries in both the 1,500 and the 5,000. The Oregon women will have student-athletes in 17 events with the most being five in the 1,500.
