U.S. skier Devin Logan juggles slopestyle, halfpipe events

As Logan’s family traveled around the Northeast to ski competitions during her childhood, that was the mindset. So the young skier did it all – moguls, big air, acro skiing.

Eventually that became halfpipe and slopestyle, the two events she’ll compete in at these Olympics.

That Logan will do both makes her a rarity in the top level of the sport. Gus Kenworthy is the only other American to even try to make both teams, and almost no one else besides them on the pro circuit regularly competes in both.

It represents a culmination of a goal she set more than four years ago, when she made the team only in slopestyle but ended up winning silver in the sport’s Olympic debut in Sochi.
