Olympic Weightlifting 2016: Monday's Medal Winners, Scores and Results

Uzbekistan's Ruslan Nurudinov won the gold medal in the men's 105-kilogram weightlifting competition in Rio de Janeiro on Monday, setting an Olympic record with a 137-kilogram clean and jerk on his third attempt, per Danny Quin of NBC Olympics.

He clearly enjoyed the moment. As the Associated Press reported (via Yahoo Sports), "Nurudinov stuck his tongue out and shouted with joy after his final lift, before bowing to the crowd in triumph, tears in his eyes."

It was the first medal Uzbekistan has ever claimed in weightlifting.

Simon Martirosyan of Armenia took home the silver, while Kazakhstan's Alexandr Zaichikov won the bronze.
