RIO DE JANEIRO — After the U.S. beat China 119-62, center DeMarcus Cousins was glad to answer questions about basketball and nothing else. Certainly not brothels.
“Just basketball,” Cousins said.
Cousins, DeAndre Jordan and DeMar DeRozan ended up at a Copacabana brothel, according to TMZ, which also reported via a “source” that the players accidentally ended up there after realizing it wasn’t a male spa.
Carmelo Anthony, a two-time gold medalist and four-time Olympian and the leader of the U.S. team, acknowledged the players’ visit and said the team needed to move forward.
“What’s done is done,” Anthony said.
