Old Dominion took a 3-0 lead, but Rice rallied for a 4-3 victory in the Conference USA men's tennis championship match Sunday at the Adams Tennis Center.
The Monarchs got the doubles point – from victories by Adam Moundir and Javier Jover Maestre and Michael Weindl and Jacob Nicolussi, before Moundir and Aziz Kijametovic won singles matches. But the Owls rallied for victories in No. 2, No. 6, No. 3 and No. 4 singles to claim their second straight title.
ODU, which had won five in a row, finished the season by winning 11 of 14.
