Jack Dechow is excited about this year’s NCAA wrestling championships, so much so that he’s been counting down the days until the annual event.
There are 61 days until the March 16-18 championships in St. Louis, he'll tell you without prodding.
But the Old Dominion senior is living day by day, building himself toward March as his college career approaches its end. A three-time NCAA qualifier, Dechow is eyeing a fourth berth in the championships, which would give him a shot at his first national title.
“Honestly, take it one day at a time. Get the most out of each training day, and by nationals, win a national title.
