Former Cox High standout Brandon Jeske was among five Old Dominion winners Friday night, but Buffalo edged the Monarchs 19-15 in a Mid-American Conference wrestling match.
Jeske improved his winning streak to six with a 4-1 decision over Kyle Akins at 125 pounds.
Other Monarchs winners: Sheldon Wright (165 pounds), fifth-ranked Jack Dechow (184), No. 12 Chris Mecate (141) and No. 8 Alexander Richardson (149).
ODU (4-7, 0-2) travels to Kent State on Sunday.
