ATHENS, Ohio – The Old Dominion (8-5, 6-2 MAC) wrestling team defeated Ohio (5-5, 4-3 MAC) 16-15 off of criteria, of total match points scored, where ODU had 43 and the Bobcats had 40.
"I thought our kids wrestled hard and competed at a high level. They did a good job fighting the entire match," said head coach Steve Martin. "Most of the bouts came down to the wire and it was a barn burner. You have to give both teams a lot of credit for making it an exciting match. We have another challenge in front of us against Navy on Monday night.
