The Monarchs (+28) are 12 strokes off the lead after firing a 15-over 295 as a team on Monday. ODU trails first-place Utah Valley (+16) by 12 strokes.
Following Hess, Nick Rencis (+10) and Calvin Greschner (+10) are tied for 43rd.
