Zach Sinor was in third grade when his mom, Valerie Sinor, had a conversation that has stuck with her for more than a decade.
She sat in Jan Carnley’s office in Grace Community Church in Castroville, Texas.
Carnley was the pastor’s wife and dealt heavily with the church’s youth program. Zach was a new student at the church school. When the opportunity became available, Valerie thought it would be good for him, a fresh start in a new place after the Sinors moved out of downtown San Antonio, Texas. Valerie said it was the best decision the family has made for its children.
