The Cowboys had an impressive second place finish in the Frisco College Baseball Classic winning two of three games to improve their record to 6-5 on the season.
Friday 3/3 vs Nebraska: The Cowboys Pitchers came out hot in the 1-0 win against Nebraska. Led by Tyler Buffett, the pitching staff held the Huskers to just two hits and no runs. Meanwhile the Huskers, led by Derek Burkamper, gave up six hits and one run, scored on a RBI by Garrett Benge to send Ryan Sluder home. And that’s all it took for the Cowboys to secure their first victory of the Frisco Classic.
