Mike Gundy placed the campuswide call for kickers and walk-ons of all sorts for his football program.
And the call was answered, with more than 70 OSU students showing up for a tryout after classes began.
Two kickers made the cut, too, and both are involved in the competition to handle kickoffs for the Cowboys this fall.
So, ask and you shall receive? Maybe.
“Don't ask me their names,” Gundy said with a laugh.
Better — deeper — kickoffs became an emphasis after the Cowboys struggled in that area a year ago, leading to more opportunities for opponent returns.
