Oklahoma State football practice report: Monday marks beginning of strategic two-a-days for Cowboys

STILLWATER — Oklahoma State wrapped up its seventh practice of fall camp Monday morning at the Sherman E. Smith Training Center and will return for a second session tonight to kickoff the Cowboys' first of three scheduled two-a-day sessions.

While some OSU fans might envision those back-to-back practices as the most grueling experience for players this time of year, coach Mike Gundy says that's far from the truth.

“We won’t do much at all,” Gundy said. “It’s mental.”

The Cowboys practiced for 1 hour and 40 minutes Monday morning. Their second practice, starting at 6 p.
