Oklahoma returns to top-10 in both coach, media rankings

Oklahoma is back in the top-10 of both major college football polls.

The Sooners came in at No. 9 in the latest coaches’ poll and 10th in the Associated Press media poll, both released Sunday.

OU rose five spots in both polls following its 44-24 victory Saturday over West Virginia on Owen Field.

Oklahoma State, meanwhile, remained ranked No. 19 in the coaches’ poll and fell one spot to No. 21 in the AP poll. The Cowboys needed a rally to beat unranked Kansas State at home Saturday.

The Sooners return to action next Saturday morning against Texas in the annual Red River game in Dallas’ Cotton Bowl.
