Moran gets pinned while replacing injured Rogers

Coach John Smith has always eluded to the fact the Oklahoma State wrestling team has a “next man up” mentality.

Friday, that man was Dalton Moran.

The Cowboys had a surprise substitution in their starting lineup Friday at 165 pounds, as redshirt junior All-American Chandler Rogers, ranked No. 9 in the country, sat out in OSU’s 29-6 win against West Virginia because of a right leg injury he likely suffered in his loss to Iowa’s Alex Marinelli on Sunday.

Moran, the brother of Cowboy wrestler Tristan Moran, was named Rogers' replacement.

Moran, a former South Dakota State transfer, hasn't seen much time as a starter for OSU.
