Home runs power Sooners past Texas

NORMAN — Oklahoma broke out of its power slump Friday night, hitting three home runs in a 6-1 Big 12 baseball rout of Texas before 1,392 fans at Mitchell Park.

Jack Flansburg, Austin O'Brien and Domenic DeRenzo each homered for the Sooners. OU (13-13-1, 1-3 Big 12) had gone five games without a homer run. Flansburg, who is tied for the team lead in homers (4), drove in a season-high three runs.

Chris Andritsos pitched 72/3 innings for the Sooners, allowing a run on five hits. He walked none and struck out five while improving to 4-2 on the season.
