Cowgirls fall unexpectedly to Sooners in first Bedlam clash of season

The Cowgirls failed to produce results Friday night against Oklahoma in the first Bedlam clash of the season with a disappointing 2-0 loss.

History failed to follow its typical course last night as OU proved to be the better team on the pitch, with
scoring a 1' (18 seconds) goal from Kaylee Dao off of a quick counter attack, and another goal from Emily
Parker in the 56'. The first minute goal from OU's Dao came off of a short-lived opening Cowgirl attack.

Assisted by Devin Barrett, Dao took a shot from 12 yards out on the left side of the box that was deflected up and
eventually rolled into the bottom right corner, giving OU probably its quickest goal against the Cowgirls
in history.
