Costello's strange injuries have not defined his Cowboy career

Oklahoma State's Conor Costello and the Cowboys will play Texas on Wednesday in the first round of the Big 12 Tournament.

The odd string of injuries, which includes getting hit in the face and tearing his esophagus, Costello suffered throughout his career would make anyone think lady luck is playing for the other team.

“You just gotta take it as it is and just continue to grind it out," Costello said. "I don’t want to let a couple small injuries determine my baseball career.”

Costello has been a Swiss Army knife for the Cowboys the past three seasons, playing in the outfield, at first base and on the bump.
