With a concrete starter at quarterback, a plethora of options at receiver and a tough defense, the Cowboys are considered a dark horse in the Big 12.
Coach Mike Gundy has had a hard time containing his excitement about this group. The coach has lauded the team’s effort and improvement this spring.
“We have a lot of young players that are back from last year,” Gundy said. “We have some depth. I just really like the attitude of the team and the new coaches. I’m comfortable letting them coach and me standing there and watch.”
Gundy has been especially pleased with the leaders of the team.
