Washington drafts Samaje Perine with 114th pick

Not too long after wide receiver Dede Westbrook got his invitation to join the NFL, Samaje Perine got his own call as Washington took him with the seventh pick of the fourth round, 114th overall.

Perine, who holds the NCAA FBS single-game rushing record and the OU all-time rushing record, finished his three years at OU averaging 6.0 yards per carry. He racked up 4,122 career rushing yards and scored 49 rushing touchdowns.

"What can you say about a guy who is your all-time leading rusher in only three years? And to do it at a place like Oklahoma with the history and tradition we have at that position is really special," Bob Stoops said in a release before the draft.
