Oklahoma RB Joe Mixon told police "it felt like a dude" hit him when he was slapped by Amelia Molitor, moments before he punched her, in an incident inside a Norman restaurant in July 2014.
In a video of Mixon's interview with the police about the incident, obtained by The Oklahoman, Mixon is accompanied by his two attorneys and mother as he gives his side of events.
According to Mixon, the incident began with Molitor blowing cigarette smoke in his face near Pickleman's Gourmet Cafe on Campus Corner. After following Molitor into the restaurant, Mixon said Molitor's friend, who is gay, called him a racial slur.
