Texas loss a turning point in Oklahoma's season

NORMAN — Oklahoma assistant coach Chris Crutchfield describes the Sooners' home loss to Kansas on Feb. 13 as a “gut punch.”

“When we lost that game to Kansas, that took something out of us,” Crutchfield said. “It backed you up a little bit. We were just struggling to get through the next two or three games from a mental standpoint because some of them lost confidence.”

But about two weeks after that loss, Lon Kruger told his team they needed to move on.

“We're not winning the Big 12,” Kruger bluntly told his players during a film session.
